VoIP Hurricane Net in Action During Hurricanes
Hurricane Felix was the second Category-5 hurricane to affect a land area. Felix made landfall in Northeast Nicaragua with maximum sustained winds of 160 MPH and did extensive damage in Nicaragua. Luckily, the landfall point was in a somewhat less populated area but it is in an area where people have little infrastructure. Here are some audio clips from the net as it unfolded:

VoIP Hurricane Net in Action During Hurricane Dean in 2007
The VoIP Hurricane Net was active for Hurricane Dean as it affected multiple areas along its track from the Winward/Leeward Islands to Jamaica to Grand Cayman to the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico and Belize to mainland Mexico.
Most audio clips below are 2.5 Meg or less but there are one or two audio clips in the 3-5 Meg range. For Dial-up users that want to listen to these audio clips, it may be best to save them first and then play them versus opening the files from the server.

The VoIP Hurricane Net was active during Hurricane Emily in July 2005 as it passed through the Caribbean islands and provided some of the most critical reports of damage as well as the location of the eye of Hurricane Emily as long range HF propagation was done by Amateurs on the Caribbean islands relayed their reports from their 75 Meter net to the VoIP Hurricane Net and stations in Trinidad, Tobago and Dominica were on the air providing this information.
