Comments: The highway to the Coast is in poor condition
The Barranca Larga - Ventanilla Highway, which connects the Central Valleys with the Oaxacan coastal region, is currently in poor condition and impassable due to the heavy rains caused by Hurricane Erick, which left landslides on the asphalt, closing it to traffic in both directions.
The poor condition of the road—aggravated by recent rains—has created risks for vehicular traffic, mainly due to landslides and mud buildup, making safe passage impossible.
CAPUFE REPORT
Barranca Larga - Ventanilla Highway, kilometer 63. Users are informed that due to adverse weather conditions, the closure to traffic in both directions continues due to various slope collapses.
