Comments: 🌀 As night falls, Jamaicans are experiencing very different sides of Hurricane Melissa.
From persistent winds and light rain in Portmore—where residents like Jason Palmer urge others to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary—to swollen rivers in Gordon Town, St Andrew, and downed trees in Kirkland Heights, the system continues to make its presence felt.
Elsewhere, it’s calm but cautious. Black River stays still, Montego Bay rests under overcast skies, and places like Mandeville and Spur Tree saw a peaceful sunset—reminders of the storm’s unpredictability.
Thank you to everyone who shared their videos and updates with us.
We’ll continue monitoring, but this is our final update for tonight. Stay safe, stay inside, and take care of each other.
